Introduction

As of May 2024, DaBaby’s net worth is estimated to be $5 Million.

DaBaby is an American rapper, songwriter, and singer from North Carolina. He rose to fame after the release of his mixtapes between 2014 and 2018.

His first album entitled ‘Baby on Baby’ was dropped in 2019 and it peaked at the 7th spot on the Billboard 200.

His third studio album, ‘Blame It on Baby’, included his highest-charting song, ‘Rockstar’ which spent seven weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Early Life

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk was born on the 22nd of December, 1991, in Ohio.

Kirk is the youngest child in the family and he grew up with his two brothers.

When he was growing up he listened to artists such as Kanye West, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Lil Wayne

His family moved to North Carolina when he was 6 years old and DaBaby found himself amidst the bad elements from the streets.

He indulged in crimes when he was younger.

Career

Before making it big, DaBaby released his debut tape in 2015 titled Nonfiction, using the name Baby Jesus.

He followed this up with additional mixtapes, including God’s Work, Baby Talk, Billion Dollar Baby, and Back on My Baby Jesus Shi*t

While performing at clubs in North Carolina, he was spotted by Arnold Taylor and signed to the South Coast Music Group label.

This chance meeting effectively kickstarted DaBaby’s larger career, with his Blank Tape mixtape becoming a breakout hit in 2018.

The Big Time

Following the release of Blank Tape, DaBaby was signed to Interscope Records in 2019.

His debut studio album, Baby on Baby, was released as a joint venture between Interscope and South Coast Music Group.

Featuring guest appearances from Rich the Kid and Offset, Baby on Baby debuted at number 25 on the Billboard 100.

Following this success, DaBaby ended up featured on many hit songs, including Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cash Shit.”

The same year, he announced and released his second studio album, Kirk, titled after his last name.

This album debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200, and his single “Into” reached number 13 on the Hot 100.

At the same time, he also appeared in remixes of other chart-topping songs, such as Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and Lil Nas X’s “Panini.”

By the end of the year, he had released or was featured on 22 songs on the Hot 100, the most for any artist in 2019.

Blame It On Baby

After receiving two Grammy nominations, DaBaby released his third album, Blame It On Baby, in 2020.

It quickly became his second number-one album, debuting at the top of the Hot 100 and selling 124,000 units.

Along with this, DaBaby continued to make appearances on tracks by other artists, including “What’s Poppin” by Jack Harlow

Later the same year, he released his debut EP, My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G), as a tribute to his late brother Glenn.

This EP was followed by his single “Masterpiece,” which references his relationship with DaniLeigh and his past legal troubles.

In July 2021, he put out “Ball If I Want To” and “Red Light Green Light,” along with “Giving What It’s Supposed To Give,” the following month.

Unfortunately, the same month, he found himself in hot water due to homophobic remarks and received a lot of backlash.

Due to his remarks, his appearance at Lollapalooza was canceled, with G Herbo replacing him.

After being removed from additional festivals and even radio stations, he took a backseat for a while before releasing Better than You in 2022.

This was followed by his fourth studio album, Baby on Baby 2, which debuted on the Hot 100 at number 34.

Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment

Along with creating his own music, DaBaby founded his own record label, Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, in 2017.

Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, he has five artists signed, including Stunna 4 Vegas, with whom he released “No Dribble” in 2020.

While his label isn’t huge, given his talent, we expect to see it grow so long as he is able to distance himself from controversy.

Following the success of that film, Trey Parker and his group moved to Los Angeles and created the short film Your Studio and You.

The show quickly became one of the most popular cable shows, consistently attracting over 3 million viewers with each episode.

Following the first six episodes, Comedy Central immediately ordered another seven, and by 1998, over $150 million in merchandise for the show had been sold.

Due to the show’s success, Trey Parker and Matt Stone became overnight celebrities and some of the biggest comedy creators in entertainment.

After signing a deal with Comedy Central in 1998, Parker and Stone began working on South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, which they fought to keep R-rated.

Despite receiving poor criticism initially for its crass humor, South Park has won numerous Primetime Emmy Awards.

Around the same time, Parker and Stone signed a $900 million deal with ViacomCBS to renew the series for another six seasons on Paramount+.

With the success of their show and musical, Trey Parker and Matt Stone created Important Studios, their production studio.

In 2016, Parker voiced the villain Balthazar Bratt in Despicable Me 3 alongside Steve Carell, his first voice role that he didn’t script for himself.

Here are some of the best highlights of Trey Parker’s career:

  • South Park (TV Show)
  • The Three Friends and Jerry (TV Show, 1998-1999)

Favorite Quotes from Trey Parker

“The story of Jesus makes no sense to me. God sent his only son. Why could God only have one son and why would he have to die? It’s just bad writing, really. And it’s really terrible in about the second act.” – Trey Parker

“I got into this little habit of architecture and building. I designed a house in Colorado and one in Hawaii. The idea is supposed to be build and sell – but then I can never bring myself to sell them.” – Trey Parker

“The truth is, marijuana probably isn’t going to make you kill people. Most likely isn’t going to fund terrorists, but pot makes you feel fine with being bored and it’s when you’re bored that you should be learning a new skill or some new science or being creative. If you smoke pot you may grow up to find out that you’re not good at anything.” – Trey Parker

“If we have a great idea, we’ll go, ‘Oh, this could be a cool movie.’ Or really for us, it’s more like, ‘Oh, this is a really bad idea. Let’s do this. This seems really stupid.’” – Trey Parker

“It’s not like we have a formula, but I think one of the reasons this show has survived is that it has a big heart at its center. Other cartoon shows have people crap on each other and make racist jokes. But I don’t think people tune in for that. I just don’t think a show lasts for 10 years without a heart.” – Trey Parker

3 Lessons from Trey Parker and South Park

Now that you know all about Trey Parker’s net worth, and how he achieved success; let’s take a look at some of the lessons we can learn from him:

1. Separate The Creative Process

Sitting down with a blank piece of paper or an empty document screen and expecting for something to happen is stupid. Sometimes inspiration, but most of the time, all that happens is you’re left there cursing your “lack of creativity.”

2. Inspiration Is A Product Of Following The Process

Inspiration is a process that has to be worked at and worked on. It’s not some eureka moment or a feeling reserved for creative people.

3. The Creative Process Is Iterative

As mentioned above, you’ll improve by trusting in the process, putting in your hours, and doing the work.

He signed with the team for four years on a $30 million contract with a $20 million signing bonus and the option for a fifth year.

Although he suffered an ankle sprain that caused him to miss the start of the season, he made his debut in October to sack Josh McCown of the Jets.

Favorite Quotes from Myles Garrett

“Didn’t know how this would play out when I was a kid. I knew I wanted to play ball, be a paleontologist, and write poetry. I thought, ‘Heck, where will I find the time? Well, football comes first, and I’ll just find some time for poetry, and paleontology can come at the end.’ I made this plan at 14, and dang, it’s all coming together.” – Myles Garrett

“After the whistle, during the whistle. Guys try to sneak stuff in. I just have to be uncompliant with stuff like that. Guys feel they can get away with stuff. I have to just try to not get back at him but make sure I finish through him during the whistle and not do anything that can jeopardize the team or that series of downs.” – Myles Garrett

“When I’m doing sports, I don’t feel anything at all. I enjoy the moment. It’s a safe haven. But once you try to let someone inside your soul, you become vulnerable. You have to be comfortable in your own skin. I don’t open myself up like that to a lot of people. It takes courage.” – Myles Garrett

“If there’s the opportunity to turn things around, that’s what great players do. They don’t complain or become complacent with losing. They just go back to work every day and try to turn things around and make wherever they are a great place to be.” – Myles Garrett
